Zynga Poker goes from live poker sessions to live soccer match on Day 2

IFPOn Nov. 17, the Zynga Poker Team will compete in the inaugural International Federation of Poker Nations Cup in London. The two-day Nations Cup is a team-based poker tournament that will be played in the iconic London Eye.

Picture 3The Nations Cup will test a player's true card skills with duplicate poker. The game has the same rules as Texas Hold'em poker, but eliminates the element of chance.

In duplicate poker, players sitting in the same seat at every table are dealt identical cards. The tournament will have 12 tables, meaning that each player at a table competes against opponents sitting in the same position at the other tables.

The Zynga Poker team is made up of six Zynga Poker fans - Roger Ellis of Yukon, Canada, Ricky Greer of  Texas, USA, Margaret Hailey of Toronto, Canada, Geoff Kinnune of California, USA, Roei Shalev of Tel Aviv, Israel, and Brian Turnbull of Alberta, Canada.

They learned what to do when they are short stacked, preflop raising strategies, and when to call hands.

Tz319Afterwards, our six lucky players got to catch the England vs. Sweden soccer (football) match at Wembley Stadium.

Today will be another full day of poker practice for our team. Wish them good luck and work on your own awesome poker game at Zynga Poker!
